Scrum Master

Position Contract Term is 6 months+, with possibility to extend. You should be an expert in lean product delivery and have at least 3 years’ experience as a Scrum Master on a team with proven and demonstrable results in that role. You should expect to be able to talk in great detail about the Scrum Framework, and product delivery in an empirical environment, and be able to present on ad hoc topics as requested. You are first and foremost a team coach and will be able to talk in depth and able to articulate what this means. Location Plano, Texas

Skills/Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • You are smart and can demonstrate it
  • Experience in Agile product delivery or lean product development
  • An expert in the Scrum Framework
  • Not focused on a single approach, and open to experimentation and inspection and adpatation
  • Experience in Behavior Driven Development, Test Driven Development, or Specification by Example
  • Experienced (preferably certified CSM/PSM) Scrum Master, with experience of other approaches such as Lean, Kanban, etc.
  • Committed to the development of all team members and continuous development of capability within the department
  • Committed to continous learning, and able to demonstrate a pattern of personal development in Scrum

Responsibilities

  • As Scrum Master, be responsibile to facilitate Scrum Events when requested by the team
  • Teach and uphold the Scrum value
  • Create and lead effective retrospective exercises
  • Deliver effective conflict resolution
  • Be an assertive but friendly and communicative person with first class interpersonal skills
  • An expert in estimation and planning techniques, and able to explain and teach release planning in an empirical environment
  • Be able to explain and coach extreme Programming techniques
  • Have excellent visualization skills, and be able to explain and create visual radiators
  • Help team or individual to clarify goals and actions to achieve them
  • Be a master of techniques to improve the efficiency of the development team
  • Deliver effective methods and practices for managing and resolving impediments
  • Coach and support a Product Owner in effective techniques for backlog creation, management, and refinement
  • Demonstrate effective techniques for managing team interruptions, and for protecting the team in a sprint
  • Be able to explain the differences between various Scrum Scaling frameworks and approaches
  • Create and maintain team happiness, and demonstrate effective techniques for building happy teams
  • Be a genuine self-starter needing no prompting to get going, and be able to observe and then take action to improve the team delivery

DevOps Engineer

Position Contract Term is 6+ months, with the possibility to extend. This Cloud Infrastructure (DevOps) Engineer will create, maintain, support and improve complex cloud operations for the largest automotive company in the world. This person will apply their knowledge in a highly-energized, fast-paced, and innovative startup environment. This individual will be working on a global platform for the next generation connected vehicle big data solution. Skills/Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • 2+ years of programming experience with Scala, Python, Java, Go, or C#
  • You're smart and can demonstrate it
  • You want to make things work. coming up with creative solutions comes naturally to you and you're comfortable being set loose without a lot of direction
  • Experience with public cloud (AWS or Azure) and Agile environments
  • Strong CI/CD and Linux experience
  • Experience with containerization using Docker and/or Kubernetes
  • Experience with scripting and orchestration inluding Terraform, Ansible, or equivalent
  • Queueing experience such as RabbitMQ, Kafka, or equivalent
  • We think the knowledge acquired earning an BS in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field would be of great value in this position, but if you're smart and have the experience that backs up your abilities, for us, talent trumps degree every time.

Responsibilities

  • Proactively identify performance improvements in areas like responsiveness, availability, scale
  • Manage, evolve, build CI/CD pipeline
  • Maintain, support, and build out infrastructure and services currently operating on AWS, Azure, and other providers.
  • Creatively solve technical issues. You do not need to know everything, but you need to know how to find the solution.
  • Deliver solutions in a complex environment including fixed wireline networking, wireless, with distributed systems and applications
  • Assist in building world-class, multi-cloud capable, state-of-the-art products by:
    • Automating build processes
    • Incorporating static code equality tools
    • Helping identify code promotion qualities
    • Including A/B, Canary, Blue/Green deployment patterns
    • Building highly resilient cloud eco-systems capable of high availability and scale
    • Shipping to Azure, AWS, or GCP
    • With docker containers, Kubernetes as an orchestrator, or as a full CMs with base images
